The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) is committed to providing a player pathway which places each player in the developmentally appropriate learning environment.
Our pathway begins with our AYSO Playground Soccer program designed to introduce families and children to the physical movements and fine motor skills to play soccer. This program is for our entry level players in the 3-5 Year age range, who will then progress into our AYSO Core program. Our AYSO Core program is designed around fun and learning, run by a tremendous volunteer base who allow our players to play in a low-pressure environment (Find your local program) while developing their skills and understanding of the game.
The next step in our Pathway is our Extra Program, a tryout-based program designed for players looking for a more challenging learning and playing environment. In this program, the players will play at a higher level in a developmentally appropriate AYSO playing circuit, coached by the top AYSO Coaches with a focus on technical and tactical development.
The final phase in the youth system is our AYSO United Club Program, where the top players are exposed to the challenges and competition of club soccer. In this environment, the players work with high level professional and volunteer coaches and play in USYS (US Club) leagues and compete against other youth club organizations. The AYSO United program builds on the foundations of all our AYSO Programs, ensuring that the players selected are in the appropriate environment to enhance their skill level and competence in the game of soccer.
The objective of the Player Pathway is to allow any player and family the opportunity to excel and reach their potential through their exposure to AYSO and the philosophies our organization has been built on.

AYSO United South OC encompasses AREA 11L's 10 Regions who proudly serve South Orange County, CA. AYSO provides an opportunity for every boy and girl to learn and play soccer, advance to competitive soccer circuits, all within a fun and family environment based on Six Philosophies: Everyone Plays®, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship and Player Development. Our year-round programs, including playground (regional level), primary/core (regional level), extra (regional level) and AYSO United (area level) are designed to appeal to 3 year old to 19 year old players.
