Head Coach of AYSO United G2002 (South Bay) and Head Coach at San Ysidro HS. Coach Aviles transitioned over from Pacific Soccer Club and coaches the G2002 (U16) team in the highly competitive Coast Soccer League (CSL) Gold bracket.
At SouthBay he has led and developed a highly successful women’s soccer program. During his four years as the G2002 SouthBay Coach, 2014 to 2017, his team compiled a record of 92 wins, 28 losses and 17 draws – these matches were not only against other San Diego Developmental Academy (SDDA) teams but also the best teams in CSL, Cal North and South as well as out of state teams. The team won consecutive SDDA League titles and in 2016 the first year in CSL they captured the league title and where invited to participate in the Southern California National Premier League (SCNPL).
Coach Aviles holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National “F”, “E” and “D” license as well as a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National, Advanced, Premier and Director of Coaching Diplomas. He is currently registered for the USSF “C” license course to be offered in December. He is a member of both soccer organizations, as well as the US Youth Soccer Association where the G2002 team plays in the SCNPL. He has previously coached competitive girls soccer at not only SouthBay Matrix, but also Chula Vista Rangers covering ages from girls under 9 to girls under 18 over the previous 20 plus years.
Coach Aviles holds an AS in Computer Information Systems from Southwestern College, BS in Information Systems and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Redlands.
